Black Sun Empire have been on the forefront of the Drum & Bass scene since the inception of the trio in 1995. Their approach to drum & bass has given them a legendary status in the drum & bass fraternity. The trio enjoyed major success making Techno and Breaks individually before switching to drum & bass in 1995 and finally making it their permanent genre in 1997.
When Black Sun Empire make drum and & bass, they just don’t flirt with the genre, the embrace it. They have carved out their own brand of music ranging from drum & bass, dubstep and drumstep. They’ve continued to develop their own unique style and sound, releasing numerous singles as well as five full-length LPs and establishing themselves as leaders in the field.
They also champion their own label called Blackout Music which is based in Netherlands. The label boasts a monstrous roster with the likes of Pythius, Telekinesis, Neonlight delivering their music on the label.
2017 got off to a massive start for Black Sun Empire and Blackout music with the release of three monstrous tunes by Black Sun Empire with none of other than fellow Dutch titans, Noisia and their label mates Pythius & State of Mind. Three ferocious tunes consisting of the style Black Sun Empire are known for.
After releasing five studio albums, Black Sun Empire are all set to release their sixth studio album “The Wrong Room”. The album will be released on Blackout Music on March 31, 2017. If their recent singles are anything to go by, then you can expect the album to be an absolute stomper.
