After the success of the critically acclaimed ‘Choreography’ album and ‘Cinematography’ EP, Bright Light Bright Light (Rod Thomas) is back with a brand-new track, aptly called ‘Causing A Commotion’.
‘Causing A Commotion’ comes as the first release to be lifted from the ‘Cinematography II’, and as with the first ‘Cinematography’ EP, this project explores the influences behind his hit album, from cinema and TV.

Bright Light Bright Light seems to have had a lot of fun making the original ‘Cinematography’ EP, and is said to have thought that it would be fitting to create a second instalment whilst he was spending time at his home in Brooklyn in December. He says: “I wanted to dig into some of the songs that inspired the more introspective and downbeat sides to ‘Choreography’ as well as the fiercer and more joy-filled parts.”
Over the course of the last 12 months Bright Light Bright Light has received plaudits from the likes of: NME, Attitude, The Line of Best Fit, Wonderland, Clash, The Guardian, The Independent and BBC Arts & Entertainment, amongst many others.
