2017 has been a massive year already for electronic music fans across the country. This year took off with Eric Prydz at Vh1 Supersonic, a spectacle we thought we would never experience in this country. Eric Prydz’s magic was followed by American rapper Macklemore and finally, Zedd.
Right after Vh1 Supersonic, Submerge announced the Above and Beyond India tour which is set to take place during the holi weekend, giving fans all the reasons to be excited. Another storm of gigs is about to kick off in Mumbai this weekend. Hosted by the Amsterdam Dance Event for the ADE Global Sessions, the series of gigs is set to feature artists such as Loefah, Sandro Silva, Arjun Vagale, Sound Avtar and many more.
Just when this wasn’t enough, Phoenix Live threw another bomb in the form of British Drum and Bass duo, Delta Heavy. Delta Heavy is a British electronic music production duo based in London. The duo consists of Ben Hall and Simon James. Over the years, Delta Heavy have constructed their own brand of Drum and Bass ranging from brain shattering basslines to deep and melody infused Liquid tunes. Delta Heavy have delivered some ridiculously great tunes such as Kill Room, Apollo and the much famed bootleg of Zhu’s Faded. They found fame with their 2012 single “Get By”, which entered the UK Indie Chart at number 30. The duo’s debut album, Paradise Lost, was released on 18 March 2016 through RAM Records. Delta Heavy’s inclusion has certainly made our year better and heavier 😉
The British drum and bass duo are all set to play in India for a 4 city tour for the upcoming holi weekend. Further details on the tour are yet to be announced. Watch this space!
