‘There’s no place like home’, we reminisced as we walked passed the gates, with our festival essentials intact. Vh1 Supersonic had a new home but the unparalleled zeal from fans and organizers alike, had us wide eyed and brimming with excitement.
Having switched base from Goa to Pune, from the gorgeous backdrop of Candolim beach to the lush Laxmi Lawns, the vibe remained the same. The lineup was on point, with a little something for every genre in the dance music spectrum and most importantly some the highlights that included Eric Prydz and Mackelmore who set foot on Indian shores for the first time ever. Being a team of varied musical preferences we ventured out to our stage of choice to witness what we’ve been waiting for so long, a musical extravaganza!
The venue was easily accessible and full marks to the organizers for handling customer queries and grievances meticulously. As we walked passed the beautiful flea market, buzzing with enthusiastic festival goers, brimming with energy, we made our way onto the Sonic Realm Stage!
Boris Brejcha shot hot fire at those in attendance with some of the finest track selection we’ve heard in a while. We expected nothing less than a stomper from Pearl and she raised the bar yet again with a beautiful performance!
The crowd erupted as Progressive maestro Eric Prydz made his way onto the stage with a power packed 2 hour set! Closing the day with his masterpeice, OPUS, was definitely a highlight of the festival!

Day 2 was action packed to say the least and in addition to the varied music choices, fans could also engage in playful activities to unwind.
Homegrown talent took over the Spectrum stage with some power packed performances while the Hip Hop community represented at the Sonic Realm stage in full force with Macklemore closing the day with a fantastic live performance.
Trance fans also had a lot to look forward to with Anjuna mainstays Genix and Sunny Lax kicking off the program in style followed by Protoculture and Trance Pioneers Aly & Fila.
Day 3 was a treat for EDM fans as heavyweights like Zedd, Curbi, NEW ID and Marcus Schossow were the DJs for the night, with their arsenal of tricks and a penchant for entertainment.
The spectrum stage on the other hand boasted of a lineup that was every techno lover’s wet dream, while legend DJ Marky lit up the festival at the Labortoire stage on the close. Special mention to Joris Voorn for throwing down like never before and entertaining fans with his unique brand of techno!
In conclusion, the festival did everything right, according to us and the fantastic planning and organisation helped make the experience much more enjoyable and hassle free. For some, it was a once in a lifetime global journey, meant to be cherished forever, with the energy, the music, the vibe and more importantly the people who came together as one. Until next time.
