In August 2016, world #1 DJ, Martin Garrix parted ways with Spinnin Records B.V. after facing some issues over his music rights. It just took a few months for the prodigy producer to launch his own record label – STMPD RCRDS. The original studio he had set up was quite simple yet beautiful. It looked serene with the hue blue lighting.
The world #1 has decided to take his studio to the next level. With the evolution of his music and record label, it was time to up the game. The wonder kid just acquired the popular FC Walvisch in Amsterdam to launch the STMPD recording studio.
FC Walvisch is a renowned recording studio where big names such as Pharrell Williams, Lady Gaga, Snoop Dogg, The Script, David Guetta and also Martin Garrix have recorded and produced music. The studio is known for its creative atmosphere, excellent service, to notch facilities and a professional dedicated team.
The world #1 said that this was a very crucial step in realizing his dream, “creating a platform and the place in Amsterdam where writers, musicians and producers from all over the world can get together to create amazing music in an inspiring environment.”
The studio will be renamed ‘STMPD Recording Studio’ and during the coming months it will transform to get its own look. The original team of FC Walvisch will remain at STMPD recording studios. Founder Marcel Walvisch will continue the activities in the field of sound design and music production.
This is what Marcel had to say. “I am proud of my team and that they will go on with Martin Garrix. I have never done any work other than sound design and music production. This is the best job there is, so I’m definitely continuing with FC Walvisch. I wish my team all the best in the future and will definitely keep visiting the studio myself!”
