There is no denying that Andy C’s RAM Records has been the biggest Drum & Bass label out there and it continues to wield over the scene it helped establish 25 years ago.
With an eye toward diversifying the roster while remaining a taste-maker imprint at the forefront of the genre, RAM Records is home to acts as varied as Calyx & Teebee, Camo & Krooked, Loadstar, Audio, DC Breaks, Rene LaVice, Bensley, and Teddy Killerz.
While RAM Records are known for delivering monstrous hits, the London based label also champion a sister called as Program and it has been one Andy C’ greatest accomplishments besides RAM Records. Program has been responsible for delivering some of the grittiest tunes the genre has to offer, and has also helped budding artists shoot up their careers over the years plus also features some of the genre’s most technically adept artists.
Part of the Program roster, Subview continues to be a provider of beats for Program. The sounds of Subview have taken pride of place in the Program back-catalogue. The Serbian’s brand of darkly lit drum and bass has seen his tunes churned by DJs all across Europe.
Subview has now delivered ‘Gold Rush’ and ‘Your Choice’ to further push his legacy on the Program, thus bringing his sinister sonic with pumping subs and clanking breaks, giving a jungle-esque undertone twisted by more contemporary standards. It gives an insight into the multifaceted production standard Subview commands, helping to once again diversify Program’s back-catalogue.
Of the two monsters delivered by Subview, we are bringing you ‘Gold Rush’. Featuring a low-end bassline, stabs of melody and clapping kick drum, ‘Gold Rush’ drives through the mix with an unforgiving intensity. Confrontational, yet still stringent in its engineering and pulsating with power between layers, Subview manages to create an in-your-face record which builds gradually with every element.
For yet another stellar release, it’s time to get with the Program – one which time and time again delivers only the most cutting edge engineering.
