This month, we celebrate Techno Legend Dubfire! Ali Shirazinia, better known for his solo project “Dubfire” completes a decade in this industry. We look back at some of his best tracks and in no specific order, list our top 10 for you!

1. Dubfire – Roadkill

Released in 2007 by Electronic Elements, this track can still get a dancefloor grooving. With it’s crazy bassline it creates a solid dancefloor vibe.

2. Dubfire – I Feel Speed (Original Club Mix)

I Feel Speed (Club Mix) – Dubfire

I Feel Speed, released on his own label, SCI+TEC records, is a cover of an obscure Love & Rockets song, featuring his own vocals. It has even appeared in an advertisement for Volkswagen Eos.

3. Dubfire – Emissions

A track so good, it was signed by Richie Hawtin himself! Released on the coveted record label, Minus Records in 2007, this is a must have track in the collection of every Dubfire fan!

4. Dubfire, Miss Kittin – Midian (Original Mix)

Midian – Dubfire

This is one crazy collaboration with the proclaimed “First lady of Techno” – Miss Kittin. The strong low-end Dubfire groove is evident once again as the pair playfully chop and reverse Kittin’s vocals, pushing and withdrawing the bass to allow her sultry vocals to shine. We’re treated to the electrifying wall of sound that is MIDIAN with its all-enveloping bass, pierced by energizing and synapse-searing shocks.

A collaboration with the legendary Oliver Huntemann, this track literally signifies what minimal techno stands for. Having already collaborated on Diablo and having received a positive response, they decided to collaborate again to produce a banger. Though this may not be as hard hitting as Diablo, it still manages to give out a dark and deep vibe.

6. Dubfire – RibCage (original mix)

Released in 2013 on KNM records, this track progresses gradually till the hi hats kick in. It is said to be inspired by a Loco Dice DJ set.

7. Marc Houle & Miss Kittin – Where is Kittin? (Dubfire Remix)

A high-profile remix come from SCI+TEC techno mastermind Dubfire. He furthers the main room potential of the EPʼs title track to deliver an insane track.

8. Dubfire, Miss Kittin – Kittin’s Ride (Original Mix)

Another track featuring Miss Kittin, also having two separate versions, Kittins ride and Dubfires ride. This track was released recently and has managed to remain a favorite with all techno DJs. It has also been remixed by anjunadeep prodigy, Solomun.

9. Oliver Huntemann, Dubfire – Terra (Original Mix)

A collaboration with Oliver Huntemann, this track was released five years ago as a part of the Elements II series compilation on Ideal Records. This track has also been remixed by Joseph Capriati which has also received a very positive response.

10. Dubfire – Rejekt (Original mix)

Released in 2010 on Cocoon Recordings, this has been included by some of the biggest names in the Techno industry, such as Sven Vath, in their sets. It perfectly encapsulates the minimal techno sounds.
