The 2nd edition of Ultra Singapore returns this weekend to Ultra Park. Unlike the first edition, Ultra Singapore is taking place bang in the middle of summer this year (probably to avoid the mess caused by last year’s rains).
This year’s line-up brags the presence of big names such as Hardwell, Tiesto, Nicky Romero, Steve Aoki, Dash Berlin and Steve Angello, KSHMR and Pendulum to name a few.
Even though fans are excited for the headliners, the beauty of a music festival lies in the discovery of new artists that some fans may not be aware of. So, before you head out to Ultra Park this weekend, check out the some artists to look out for at this year’s Ultra Singapore. As usual the Main Stage shall play host to all the superstar EDM DJs, the Live Stage has a mix of live performers and some huge DJ acts too, and the Resistance Stage shall be home to the Techno and underground legends.
Starting off on the Mainstage we’ve got the likes of Tiesto, Hardwell, Steve Angello, Don Diablo, Martin Solveig, GTA, and more all ready to turn up the heat and get you pumping. We’ve covered these artists on several segments here on T.H.E so we’re gonna skip on them and move on to the Live Stage acts.
The Live Stage has the likes of Tchami and Pendulum performing the closing sets over the weekend.
Fans of the Bass House Frenchman can see him performing live on Saturday night while all the Knife Party fans can head down on Sunday to watch Rob Swire work his magic with Pendulum.
Big room specialist, KSHMR and popular Melbourne bounce DJ, Will Sparks are also to perform at the Live Stage on Sunday evening which Saturday’s slots are reserved for Indonesia rap artist Rich Chigga and Dutch trio, Deadly Zoo comprising of Sidney Samson on the DJ deck, with lead vocalist Bobso Architect and Roga as the MC.

Other live stage acts feature local Singaporean artists. Jasmine Sokko is set to light up the Live Stage on June 11 with her smooth vocals and addictive indie electronic tracks.
22-year-old breakout DJ, MYRNE (who is signed to Diplo’s label Mad Decent) and has played at music festivals in Indonesia, South Korea and even at Ultra Music Festival in Singapore last year is all set to return to Ultra to perform on Saturday. Local singer-songwriter Sam Rui, who has been taking Singapore’s R&B scene by storm since her debut in 2016 is also performing on the Live Stage this Sunday. She even performed at Laneway Singapore earlier this year.
Moving on to the Resistance Stage, we’ve got some massive names from Dubfire to Nic Fanciulli, Sasha & John Digweed and many more. Joining these big names on the stage will be Anna, winner of the Best Breakthrough Artist 2016 at DJ Awards in Ibiza.
Based in Berlin, Anna is a techno and tech-house DJ who’s redefining the scene and ‘keeping it fresh’ for the new generation. You can catch her live on Sunday.
Malaysian artist Jonny Vicious is also set to perform at the Resistance Stage on Saturday. He is known for his ability to get the dance floor going through his commitment to make the crowd dance “spastically”. So if you’re into that, definitely get an hour in with Jonny Vicious.
