Amit Kamboj better known as AMIT has been writing drum & bass since the early 2000s. The UK based live Music Artist, Composer and Producer has released two critically acclaimed albums Neverending (2006) and 9 Times (2011) and over thirty slates of vinyl including ‘Killer Driller’, ‘Roots’ and ‘Acid Trip’.
AMIT has been hailed as one of the most distinctive and original voices within the electronic music industry. He is credited with creating a new and innovative sub genre within electronic music, influencing a generation of new music artists. He was the first music artist within Electronica to begin creating music at his signature ‘half-step’. A whole range of fellow artists quickly followed suit but AMIT is widely acknowledged as having been the pioneer. His work has been placed in the top 5 ‘Best Single’ and ‘Best Producer’ categories on the BBC Radio listener polls.
In 2013, AMIT inaugurated his very own long anticipated imprint AMAR and since then, the label has featured some heavy hitters such as Machinedrum, Addison Groove and Danny Scrilla.
After a short hiatus, AMIT is now set to release Thakurs Army and 1370 Taylor Dub. Thakurs Army has been one of the biggest dubstep tunes lately and has featured in numerous DJ sets. The tune has also received heavy support from the likes of J:Kenzo, Mumdance, Om Unit, Doc Scott and Youngsta.
Thakurs Army and 1370 Taylor Dub will be out on all platforms on July 14. Grab on to some serious heavy dubstep business.
