As part of our 9 Years Of T.H.E celebration features, we discuss 9 topics with DJ Xplicit including his influences, dream collaborators, working with Sony Music and more.

T.H.E – New single “Different”

DJ Xplicit – I created Different to be a fierce, fun and energetic track. A song for anyone who has gone through ups and downs in their relationship. The song focuses on change and being positive through tough situations. It was great teaming up with Ameria who wrote the lyrics, she has released records on some of the biggest dance labels and had 2 #1 hits on the European National Charts

T.H.E – Previous single charting in Sweden’s Top 40s and multiple iTunes charts in various countries.

DJ Xplicit – It was a great feeling to find out that my last record Black and Blue charted in Sweden’s Top 40 Dance Charts and multiple iTunes charts in Panama, Spain, United Arab Emirates, Lebanon, etc.

T.H.E – Why music and dance music in general.

DJ Xplicit – I’ve always been a part of music for as long as I can remember. As a kid I remember my parents playing multiple genres of music from pop, dance, reggae, rock, etc. My grandfather played the keys and was a local celebrity in his days. This connected with me ask I became a teenager. I started out remixing dance records with other genres so I can stand out as DJ at the clubs I played at. My love and passion for music grew and I knew this was my path because music takes me to another “realm”. Dance was ingrained because it was always the first genre I’d play to open up the floor. My first release was a dance record entitled “Psychotron”. Dance music will make you forget all of your worries and have you enjoy every moment, you get lost in the lyrics and the beats and always wanting more.

T.H.E – Who influences my style

DJ Xplicit – I am very versatile because my style is open, some of my influence are Illenium, Martin Garrix, Tiesto, Major Lazer.
