As expected, Ultra Miami 2014 was very eventful. A couple of unfortunate events kicked off the festival, as a guard was trampled and Avicii had to cancel his performance and undergo an emergency operation, but the music and energy was at an all-time high at the 16th Ultra Music Festival in Miami. Here’s an account of what went down on day 1!

Laidback Luke opted out of his Day 1 Mainstage performance as he had to head back home for the birth of his child, but the other big acts made sure that he wasn’t missed. Showtek were raging as usual, dropping their latest tracks Bad and Bouncer along with some other current hot tracks like FLASHLIGHT, and their old hits like Cannonball and Slow Down.

Next up was Zedd, who was one of the most anticipated acts of Ultra, and he delivered like he always does. Playing some of his own huge hits like Stay The night, Spectrum, Shotgun, Clarity and Find You along with some remixes, he even dropped a cool edit of the new Calvin Harris track Summer.

Eric Prydz brought a new epic show called “HOLO”. The set was as much about the lights and visuals as it was about the music. He dropped some of his biggest Cirez D and Pryda tracks, including Every Day, Pjanoo and his recent track Liberate.
