In 2016, one of the finest electronic dance music festivals in the world, Ultra Music Festival made its way into the happening Asian city of Singapore.
Some of you may have been to the previous editions or may have attended the festival in other parts of the world. The 4th edition of Ultra Singapore is less than 10 days away from us, and here are 5 reasons why you must attend this year’s Ultra Singapore.
4-day work week before the festival
Ultra Singapore is set to take place over the weekend of 8 and 9 June. The week prior to the festival will be a 4-day work week on account of the Hari Raya Puasa public holiday on June 5 (Wednesday) in Singapore. This rest day will enable you to rejuvenate and get ready for a wild Ultra weekend.
Drool-worthy line-up
This edition’s line up comprises of star-studded acts such as Axwell, Martin Garrix, Porter Robinson, Skrillex, Knife Party, Infected Mushroom, Hot Since 82 and many more. This edition also features some of the talented upcoming producers like Brooks, Loopers, Matisse & Sadko to name a few. You may also not want to miss out on the set of the local star Myrne, who has been producing some brilliant music lately.

Probably the last edition at Bayfront Avenue
Last month, Marina Bay Sands owner Las Vegas Sands announced a plan for a brand-new hotel tower and entertainment arena in Singapore. Based on the early stage of the designs that are floating around the internet, it seems like the 4th tower will be built right next to the existing towers on a plot of grass that is empty unless it’s time for Ultra Singapore.
Although there is no official news confirming that Ultra Singapore will have to move out of the beautiful Bayfront venue, you don’t want to risk it and miss out on experiencing the festival at this exhilarating venue.
Official after party at Marquee
After enhancing the nightclub experience in Las Vegas, New York, and Sydney, Marquee final made its way to Asia last month to set up its home at Marina Bay Sands. The biggest night club in Singapore has a slide that runs through 3 storeys and has an indoor Ferris wheel as well.
Is there a better way to continue your party than at a night club that is a stone throw away from the Ultra venue? You might get to watch your favourite DJs take over the decks at the club. The best part is that you will be allowed to enter the club in your festival attire. However, kindly note that Ultra festivals attendees are not entitled to free admission into the club.
One of the safest music festivals
Lately, you must have heard about reported deaths at music festivals due to stampede and overdose of drugs. If you are worried about this then fret not, Singapore is one of the safest destinations in the world and with the organisers doing a fantastic job, you can be sure to have a fantastic experience while being safe.
