Mysteryland’s 26th edition this year, was just as lit as the weather!

From August 23rd to August 25th, The Floriade in Holland turned into one big massive music festival weekender with 130.000 visitors from 100 different countries dancing to more than 300 artists spread across 14 stages.

This was a pretty perfect weekend for all the 15.000 campers that arrived on Friday to enjoy a 12-hour long Pre-party. Once you’d set-up camp it was a short walk to the main festival grounds where a limited amount of stages where open, but one could enjoy the opening ceremony and check the STMPD Records stage, which is Martin Garrix’s label, that included artists such as Todd Helder, Julian Jordan, Blinders and Seth Hills.

Opening Ceremony

If you were more into Urban, there was the Desperado’s hosted Dutch stage “Vunzige Deuntjes” with artists such as Nayla, Colorful, Super Serious and BIGGI.

For those who wanted to stay in the camping, there was plenty to do. Mysteryland prides its self in giving campers the ultimate experience and this year’s entertainment and décor was very impressive along with the camping parties. These started off on Friday where Oliver Heldens hosted a stage under is label name “Heldeep” where campers were able to enjoy his set along with Zonderling, MOGUAI, Firebeatz and many more.

For those who wanted to relax and chill, there was the Hangout x Funky Town stage with Colombian Connection, Le Cher, Soul Collectors, and a few others.

Over the entire weekend, there were about 100 different acts which is pretty impressive for just the camping area considering the line-up consisting of artists such as Sander Kleinenberg, Sub Zero Project, B-Front, Sidney Samson and Bass Modulators.
For regular visitors, the weekend started on Saturday, which was also one of the warmest days. The organization made sure there were enough free water points and enough chill-out areas so everyone could take a break and stay hydrated throughout the day.

Most visitors started dripping in around 11 am where the biggest stages were opened by MATTN on the Mainstage, Luna on the Q-Dance stage and Rodg the honor of opening The Big Top.

Around 2 pm, T.H.E – Music Essentials were invited on a tour of the grounds by the director of Mysteryland, Carina Kornfeind, along with Martijn van Daalen ID&T’s Commercial director and Clayton Frederik Head of Branding, Concepting and Music Strategy. They took us on a tour explaining how each stage had its own story behind it such as Cocoon, for which the designer chose to make the stage blend in with its surroundings by using hand-picked branches and trees to create a very exclusive looking stage.

Also, the selection of food provided had been carefully chosen and with 23 different cuisine’s and 70 different food trucks and caterers, there was something for everyone.

Each food area had a diverse selection, its own entertainment and cozy corners where people could relax.

They also showed us the longest zipline of Europe, hosted by Holland Casino, which was 400meters long and when going down on it you could reach speeds of 70km/h and yes, of course, we tried it! And it really was as spectacular as it looked and you could see the entire festival while speeding down.

Once we finished the tour, it was time for some music! Lucas & Steve were performing at the Mainstage and put down an awesome set.

We also checked out Vini Vici’s set whom we also interviewed, so stay tuned for that!

And of course, to end the Saturday, we had to go see the Q-Dance end show which was once again, spectacular!!

Once we got back to the campsite, we were greeted with the sounds of DJ Naffz who really knew how to keep the after-party going!

After a short night, it was time for so the last day. Once again, a full line-up of superstars with Loud Luxury, Showtek, Nicky Romero, Tchami & Malaa and know one other than Martin Garrix closing the Mainstage with an amazing end show.

At Q-Dance we had to check out Zany, D-Block & S-te-Fan, Headhunterz and Brennan Heart.

Not to be missed either was the “Sexy by Nature” stage, hosted by Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano who themselves, played a 2-hour set with as closing act, Jonas Blue.

Over at the Big Top, GTA, Dillion Francis, and Diplo gave away quite a show ending the night for Big Top.

Mysteryland was once again an amazing experience and this year the great weather only made it better. With something for everyone, their overall eye for detail and effort to make the experience unique for all their visitors, we will definitely return again!

Mysteryland 2020 will be hosted from Friday 28th of August till Sunday 30th of August 2020 and you can get your tickets here.
