SulaFest 2019 review

SulaFest went several notches higher in its 12th edition this year.

The two-day festival saw more than 10,000 individuals. This year was a grander production with even more amazing memories.

Every year, SulaFest brings incredible eclectic talent from all around the world, and it is definitely one of India’s best-loved live music festival. This year fest-goers experienced a mega mix of great music with internationally-celebrated artists performing some eclectic numbers.

One of the highlights this year was the launch of three of Sula Vineyards’ wines at the venue. The Source Sauvignon Blanc Reserve, Brut Chardonnay and Sparkling Shiraz were served at the fest for the very first time. The wine aficionados were seen signing up for the wine tours and tastings and slurping on their favorite wines.

JUNGLE, an English modern soul musical collective based in London made their India debut and rocked the stage on 2nd with back to back stellar performances including songs from their recently launched album – For Ever.

Also, setting the stage on fire, was our very own ‘Original Gully Boy’ – DIVINE who performed some of his most popular raps like Jungli Sher and Farak along with the new singles from Gully Gang’s album. The main stage also witnessed some exhilarating performances by Lucille Crew (an international groove collective from Israel fusing elements of Hip-hop, Funk and Soul), Hallouminati (scurrying around the UK’s party scene since 2010),k Forelock & Arawak, Spencer Maybe and Mother’s Cake to name a few. Other exceptional Indian artists – Paraphoniks (Live electronica), MALFNKTION (Hip-hop), Nothing Anonymous (Live electronic) brought life to the fest with some phenomenal performances.

The ATMASPHERE STAGE was buzzing with infectious electronic and underground music headlined by DJ Sasha and other globally-renowned DJs like Juilet Fox (Germany), Oona Dahl (USA), Nikhil Chinapa (India), Ankytrixxx (India) and Sashanti (Russia).

All in all, SulaFest ’19 curated unique experiences for all the fest-goers, and we can’t wait for the 13th edition!
