Alok Teams Up With Faithless On ‘I Need Someone’ – Second Single from ‘All Blessed’

Esteemed Brazilian Producer & DJ Alok – recently voted Top 5 in DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs – delivers a spine-tingling update of Faithless’s poignant ‘I Need Someone’ (ft. Nathan Ball & Caleb Femi), released on BMG on 22 January.

The sublime ‘I Need Someone’ quickly became a fan favourite on Faithless’s stunning album ‘All Blessed’ – the legendary dance act’s first LP in ten years. Opening with Nathan Ball’s mesmerising vocal, Alok brilliantly layers growling brass and stabbing synth notes to create a euphoric reworking.

On Alok’s remix of ‘I Need Someone’ Faithless said: “Brazilian beats master Alok delivers a tasteful pumping house remix, putting the emotive Nathan Ball vocal centre stage. With its hypnotic synth pads, and deep brass stabs creating an epic atmosphere, this remix is destined to be the peak track of DJ’s sets across the board.”

‘I Need Someone’ is the second single to be taken from Faithless ‘All Blessed’, their first studio LP in 10 years, out now on BMG and winning rave reviews from press and fans alike. Featuring in several Best Albums Of 2020 lists, ‘All Blessed’ charted at No.6 in the Official Album Chart and No.1 in the Dance Album Chart and No.1 in the Independent Album Chart.

Previous Faithless single ‘Synthesizer’ received strong support, including BBC Radio play from Pete Tong, Annie Mac, Jo Whiley, Annie Nightingale, Shaun Keaveny, and Nemone. DJs supporting the track included Roger Sanchez, John Digweed, Tom Novy, Marco Carola, Claptone, Gabriel & Dresden, and Kryder.
