Dirtybird co-founder Justin Martin has remixed the Tchami track ‘Shine On’, out 18th June on CONFESSION.

Tapping into the deep, bass-heavy sound that he has become synonymous with, the Justin Martin remix of ‘Shine On’ sees him trade in the blissed-out energy of the original for an expertly refined club track that’s underpinned by impassioned vocals from the legendary Chuck ‘The Voice’ Roberts and George Banton, euphoric breakbeats and rousing synth stabs.

‘Shine On’ was first released on Tchami’s debut album Year Zero, an acclaimed LP that was lauded by the likes of Billboard, PAPER Magazine, and many more. The rework will be released on the forthcoming Year Zero remix package, which recently saw remixes from Malaa and The Brothers Macklovitch – the full collection due out later this summer.

“Justin Martin’s take on Shine On’ is really tasteful with his classic style of bending genres, structures and sounds”, Tchami explains. “The fact that he was able to get the legendary Chuck Roberts on it is definitely not to be overlooked. I truly hope that everybody enjoys this amazing piece.”

Released last year, Year Zero exceeded all expectations. In the first week of release, the album garnered over 6 million streams and covered Spotify’s most coveted playlists including MINT, Dance Rising, Cratediggers. The album peaked at #1 on the iTunes Dance chart in France and #3 in the US and Canada.

With the US open for business, Tchami is underway with his Summer Bliss Tour which has seen him play shows in multiple shows in Florida and Texas thus far. The tour, spanning to 4th July, with no fewer than 15 dates, will see Tchami play SoCal’s Day Trip, the first major festival of its kind since early 2020.
