Harpoon

This has been one of the biggest collaborations of the year, as the revered Knife Party team up with Pegboard Nerds on this heart-pounding track – Harpoon.

The track begins with airy vocals with some bassy build into the amazing theme of the production. It doesn’t let you settle even for a moment and keeps you on your toes. The drop throbs and leads one into a frenzy of electro vibes. Once can distinctly identify the signatures of both the artists in most places, making them leave a stronger footprint in the industry.

As unique as their name, is the music of the Scandinavian producers Alex Odden and Michael Parsberg, calling themselves Pegboard Nerds. The unlikely duo formed when multi-platinum, Grammy award-winning Parsberg joined forces with Odden, the kingpin of the Demoscene in the Norwegian underground.
The pair that has largely been nurtured by Monstercat have contributed remixes for Above & beyond, Tïësto, Armin van Buuren and a lot more.

As a client of TH3RD BRAIN, the management team behind the global electro-punk sensation, Krewella, Alex and Michael have been on a blazing trail through the electronic music scene. And as one of the most highly touted names on Monstercat, a label that has progressively become one of the most respected names in dance music, the Pegboard Nerds continue to build their #NerdNation into an international army.

Knife Party rocketed from an unknown entity to one of the most renowned dance acts in the world with a barely a moment to catch their breath. The groups first EP ‘100% No Modern Talking’ racked up over half a million downloads and was backed up by their second EP ‘Rage Valley’ achieving top 10’s in the UK, USA, Canada and Australia iTunes charts and debut at #1 and #2 in both the Beatport and Trackitdown dubstep charts. They have amassed over 2.3 million Facebook fans, achieved over 20 million plays of ‘Internet Friends’ on YouTube alone, and have headlined shows and festivals to tens of thousands of fans the world over. Remixing Porter Robinson, Labrinth and Nero to name a few, Knife Party also collaborated with Swedish House Mafia on the phenomenal worldwide smash ‘Antidote’.

2015 saw the bands’ profile expand further with various headline slots around the world, including Global Gathering and Tomorrowland as well as touring their sell-out Haunted House tour to arenas throughout America, and headed up their Earstorm stage at the Future Music Festival and the main stage at Ultra in Miami.

The Knife Party movement is both a viral and a global one, and this will come as no surprise to anyone that has witnessed their performances or heard their music!

With the two acts touring right now, this track is bound to go viral by the looks of how it has been produced!
