Cross-genre music powerhouse NGHTMRE, best known for songs “REDLIGHT” with A$AP Ferg, “GUD VIBRATIONS” with SLANDER, and “CASH COW” with Gunna, has teamed up with American electronic artist KLAXX to release their new single, “The One,” now available on all digital streaming platforms.
The soul-stirring festival anthem is the second single of NGHTMRE’s long-awaited upcoming debut album, which releases later this year, and follows March’s “Fall Into Me” with SLANDER featuring Dylan Matthew.
“The One” begins with a singular strumming guitar, pulling the listener into the music with its hypnotizing strings. As the instrumentals delicately lead out of the intro, “Tell me if you are the one” is whispered. The simple yet impactful lyrics bring out the rhythmic bassline, which continues to shine throughout the music. The gradual build-up to the chorus heightens the anticipation for the climactic moment, and the instrumentation and volume contrast between sections further highlights the uniqueness of each verse. Such alternation brings dynamic and tension to the music.
Over the past few years, NGHTMRE has had a whirlwind career – quickly moving from an unknown producer remixing famous tracks to uploading collaborations with some of the greatest names in the music industry. Since gaining major recognition with his 2015 single, “Street,” the American producer has released a string of hits and participated in a multitude of universally recognized music festivals, including EDC Las Vegas, Lollapalooza, Life In Color Festival, and more.
Coupled with his ear for electro house music and contagious personality, the producer has become one of the most talked-about names in the industry, being dubbed as one of the next household names in dance music.
KLAXX, a Southern California-based electronic artist is one of the industry’s leading musical storytellers. In each song, the producer strives to release hypnotic music and beats that will whisk fans to another world, wrapping them in euphoria and bliss. Debuting with a remix of NGHTMRE’s “Holdin’ On To Me” in 2016, KLAXX has continued to showcase his diverse style of melodic vibes, rhythmic bass, and inspiring productions that sets him apart from any other artist. Working with bass music staples, KLAXX has partnered with Slander, Zeds Dead, Alison Wonderland, NGHTMRE, and others, with his release with NGHTMRE being “Falling” from 2021.

Our last release was definitely more of a festival banger, so for this one we dipped a bit more into our creative ‘feels’ and kept it melodic, but impactful.”

NGHTMRE recently performed twice at Ultra Music Festival and headlined the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheater for his ‘NGHTMRE: INTO THE DRMVRSE’ performance on April 15 with support from Kill The Noise, where he debuted all new visuals, merchandise, and a unique AR-powered brochure that, once a QR code is scanned, transforms into a 3D MP3 player loaded with unreleased music.
