The biggest acts of dance music for the past two years, The Chainsmokers are back with a new release in collaboration with Kelsea Ballerini, This Feeling.
The track, which has soulful lyrics and a story-line that Alex and Drew themselves explain, is a special one.
Beginning with a melodic vibe backed by some soft kicks and soothing vocals, the guitars strum to make it richer in texture. Dropping into a phase which makes you groove to it gently, the track keeps you hooked to it. The highlight of the track has to be the lyrics, the country vibe it has and the emotions that it so clearly expresses. It is a great track to soothe yourself as you contemplate on your own life.
The duo is quite excited to be working with the youngster Kelsea.
“We are really excited about this song because Kelsea is an artist we have wanted to work with for a while. We actually had heard her covering some of our songs on her tour and heard an interview that she really wanted to work with us. Then we finally met backstage and really hit it off. She was charismatic, charming, really fun and so talented… and we decided then this had to happen we just needed the right song”, they explained.
Inspired by their own personal lives, the duo explains that the track is for all those who hear a lot around them and just can’t get in terms with it and vice-versa. With this track, it’s about them calling out to you to “follow your heart in spite of the noise around you”

It is heartwarming to see the superstar DJs collaborate with someone so young and be in so much praise of her. That heartwarming feeling has also translated into the track itself, which is why it is a must-listen for everyone!
