Warhola – Promise (Official Video)

The Belgian creative Warhola, otherwise known as Oliver Symons, has just released the official video to his last single – Promise.

Now focusing on his solo work, he delighted with ‘Promise,’ which came out via Epic Amsterdam.

Acclaimed directors Marie Wynants and Stef Aerts have made the official accompanying visuals, which are based around a physical struggle to escape by Warhola himself. Playing with themes of darkness and light, they say: We wanted to put the focus on translating the feelings to the locations, which reflects in the setting. The transformation between light and dark is characteristic for the video.”

About Warhola:

Warhola is the solo moniker of Oliver Symons, a musical multi-talent excelling in writing and producing his music from start to finish. But he also has somewhat of a Midas’ touch in another endeavor: with the Dutch-language indie-pop band Bazart he completed a sensational course, resulting in hysterical festival sites and sold-out concert halls. All of this has led to Oliver revealing himself to be one of the be pop talents.

Though it’s clearly the mind-bending electronic production of Warhola, topped with lush, fantastic vocals, where Oliver really comes into his own.

2016’s ‘Aura’ EP, featuring debut single ‘Unravel’ and follow-up ‘Lady’, was released to humongous critical acclaim, with reputable blogs such as Pigeons and Planes and Complex amongst its early fans. 
In 2017 Warhola broke through with the single ‘Jewels’, making his claim on the dancefloor. Eventually, the track grew to one of the longest campers in Flemish radio playlists that year. 

After leaving a huge impression during the festival summer and selling out shows in Vooruit (Ghent), Het Depot (Leuven) and Ancienne Belgique (Brussels), Symons is ready to take his ambitions further.
