Amidst all the uncertainty around organising music festivals over the past one year, Burning Man has taken few optimistic steps even in the uncertain times.
Through the Burning Man journal, the organisers have announced not only the happening of the festival but also the theme for it this year!
Organisers have announced the theme to be “Terra Incognita” which literally translates to “unknown land”. Owing to the many uncertainties and even the uncertainty of the happening of the event itself, the theme is very fitting this year.
In 2020, Burning Man cancelled the scheduled event at Black Rock City due to the onset of the pandemic and going forward into this year, they hope to confirm officially about the happening of the event, by the end of May.
The Burning Man journal shared, “This year’s Burning Man theme is an invitation to emerge from our collective isolation, to explore the unfamiliar contours of a changed world, and to reimagine ourselves, our community, and our culture in ways that might not have been possible before this period of plague and pause.”
While the aspiration is fantastic, we really hope that the situation paves way for the happening of a grand celebration. That would mean that the organisers have to take extra precautions, in terms of checking if the attendees are vaccinated for Covid-19, and more. All that effort, would definitely be worth a massiv party this year.
