Award-winning DJ/Producer Calvin Harris came out to criticize the UK administration for their halfhearted response to the now failing music industry.

Adam Wiles aka Calvin Harris made a post on his Instagram which spoke about his opinions on the current administration’s unwillingness to help the music industry. Harris said that the UK government had “lost sight of what life is about” and that the music industry “Contributes 5 billion to the economy, generates massive tax revenues for the NHS and other public services”.

Check the post below.

The majority working in the music industry are self-employed and the unemployment grants that they were about to receive was 20 percent of their usual earnings. It is much lesser than the initially promised 70 to 80 percent. Health Minister Helen Whately answered a question posed by the interviewer Kay Burley regarding the same and the answer was shockingly blunt. Watch Below.

Calvin Harris’ message was championed by many organizations in the past and present. Many charitable organizations have run public fundraisers in order to keep things floating. However, a good helping hand from the government will keep the Nightlife and the music industry of the United Kingdom floating.
