Earlier today the inevitable was officially announced, all clubs in Ibiza will have to cancel all events through their peak season through the rest of 2020.

While they slowly went cancelling events month on month with hopes of opening for the rest of the season, summer 2020 is now officially cancelled.

As posted by Hi Ibiza earlier today, following the update from the Balearic Government that no clubs will be allowed to open in Ibiza this season, all events at Hi Ibiza and Ushuaia have been cancelled through this summer.

They also went on to say that they are already gearing up to deliver towards their biggest season ever in 2021.

As per their website the simple update on Covid-19 reads,

“Due to the ongoing situation with COVID-19, we have removed all events from our calendar until further notice. The health and safety of our guests, artists and staff is our number one priority and we will not operate if there’s any kind of health risk for anyone. When that situation changes and only when it’s safe, we’ll be ready to open again.”

As reported by Mirror UK, the government of Mallorca, Ibiza and Menorca have indicated that nightspots will have to keep their doors shut for the rest of the year, even though international tourists are being allowed back to the islands from June 21st.
