Desperados, HEINEKEN’S tequila flavoured beer brand, has taken music festivals to new heights, by creating the first ever zero gravity festival in the skies above Las Vegas, USA. Desperados Bass Drop is released today, available to watch here.

Bringing together DJ group, the Barong Family and world famous neuroscientist, Daniel Levitin, Desperados has created the ultimate bass drop experience. It culminated in an unprecedented flight combining music, lights and weightlessness 30,000 ft above the Nevada desert, to achieve a bass experience never felt before.

DJ Mike Cervello who debuted his latest blockbuster track, SMACK! on each flight said, “The experience was unreal. With Desperados Bass Drop, I created the biggest bass drop of my life. Working with Daniel Levitin, we stretched the bass of my track to match the parabolas, meaning when the plane dropped, so did the bass, sending the dance floor floating in zero gravity. It was a mind blowing experience for everyone on board.”

World famous neuroscientist Daniel Levitin said, “This was a unique experiment. By stretching the perceptual experience, playing with sounds at zero gravity, extending the feeling of weightlessness, we created a new form of the bass drop.”

Anna Bizon, Global Brand Director, Desperados, said: “20 years ago, Desperados re-wrote the rules by brewing the world’s first tequila flavoured beer. We’ve been daring to do things differently ever since. Desperados Bass Drop is a chance to reach new levels of music and give some of our fans a truly unforgettable experience. It is a unique taste of the unconventional, disruptive nature of our brand.”
