It is with great sadness that we report a big loss to the dance music industry. The Oakland fire, that took place at a warehouse hosting the Ghost Ship arts collective, claimed 36 lives, including Jonathan Bernbaum, the visual artist of Knife Party, who had also worked with artists like Marcus Schulz.
Jonathan was a Berkeley High alumni, and a very talented and widely respected and loved video DJ. Tributes have poured in across Social Media, including tweets from Marshmello and Knife Party DJ Rob Swire.
