What does a concert mean to you? Well, on the surface it is just mad jumping around, some intoxication and a good time spent with friends. A little deeper, and suddenly the music at a concert becomes most important. But, at its core, a concert is a coming together of humans to celebrate!
If we could celebrate together, we can even pray together. This is exactly what happened at the Vh1 Supersonic Festival in Pune, during American sensation, Marshmello’s set. At the start of his set, Marshmello called for a two-minute silence as a sign of respect to the soldiers who lost their lives in the Pulwama terror attacks.
He said, “Two-minutes silence for the Indian soldiers who lost their lives in a terrorist attack” before he began. While that happened, the Indian flag was displayed in the background and all the festival goers were filled with a sense of grief.
We have always known Marshmello’s love for India and this act has genuinely shown what he is and has gotten him closer to the Indian audience.
