If Skrillex has taught us anything in the last two months, it’s to expect the unexpected from him.
Talking about coming back with a bang, in the last two days, he dropped two stacked albums back to back, one of which he announced out of nowhere in the midst of a sold out set he is playing with Fred Again.. and Fourtet at Madison Square Garden.
The show at The Garden was announced only three days ago, and sold out in a whopping 3-minutes! The three promised fans a 5-hour set from 7pm – 12am and in the middle of the set, Skrillex announced he’s dropping his second album ‘Don’t Get Too Close’ out of nowhere.
Just like its accompanying album ‘Quest For Fire’ which dropped yesterday, ‘Don’t Get Too Close’ is also packed with top notch collaborators like Trippie Redd, Kid Cudi, Justin Bieber, Anthony Green, and a bunch more over its 12-tracks.
Making up for the lack of releases from the Skrillex camp in the last 9-years in a way, the two albums Skrillex teased at the start of 2023 are now both officially released and we couldn’t have asked for more!
