Steve Aoki Backstreet boys - let it be me

Steve Aoki has had some unexpected collaborations in the past with the whos who of the music scene, but we clearly didn’t see this one coming!

A few days ago Aoki took to his Instagram to post a picture of him as the sixth member of ’90s pop sensations Backstreet Boys. Announcing their new collaboration in style, the dapper image showed a picture of Aoki among the five heart-throbs of the Backstreet Boys, Nick Carter, Howie Dorough, AJ McClean, Kevin Richardson, and Brian Littrell.

Aoki posted the image with the name of the collaborative track “Let It Be Me” asking the BSB 5 if he could be their 6th member and they cheerfully replied, “Yes, yes you can be 🙌🏻 Can’t wait for everyone to hear this.”

Backstreet Boys are currently on their DNA World tour and have still been selling out venues across the country, however, they haven’t been able to release any impactful new music. Whether this collaboration will change that and be one for the books remains to be seen, but it sure is a dapper looking 6-piece band at work here. Say what you may, but Backstreet’s Back, alright!

“Let It Be Me” with Steve Aoki feat. Backstreet Boys is out now.

What do you think of it?

  1. They did recently have a number one country song “God your mamma and me” with Florida Georgia Line and a Number one Album with DNA so they definitely had some impactful releases pre this forthcoming collaboration.
