Swedish House Mafia has been on a cryptic announcement spree. But yesterday in a 20 second video they shared, in no uncertain terms they announced they will be performing live at Coachella 2022.
This was followed by an official post on Coachella’s social media with a picture of the trio imposed over the festival’s epic location and simply captioned with their iconic three circle logo. Need they say anymore?
ThIs 2022 performance will mark the 10 year anniversary of the trio’s first Coachella performance!
After 2 years of multiple postponements and cancellations due to the pandemic, Coachella is finally set to return from April 15-17 and April 22-24, 2022. With this being the third headliner announcement with regards to the lineup of the event, the trio will be joining Rage Against the Machine and Travis Scott, Coachella is clearly all hands on deck for their comeback edition and is not playing around.
In a flurry of cryptic announcements around the world at different venues from London to Las Vegas and Amsterdam to New York, the trio are surely leaving no stone unturned to cement what started as a rocky comeback.
After the release of their first two tracks from the upcoming album Paradise Again, all fans wanted was to see the trio live in action and with the apparent global album tour on the books, it looks like those wishes are being fulfilled, and how! More information and official announcements will hopefully follow soon including dates for these events which are still not known, but expectedly over a period of time in 2022.
While attendees have had the option to have their tickets from Coachella 2020 and 2021 rolled over, tickets for the 2022 edition are not on sale yet.
