Undoubtedly EDM’s most legendary trio, Swedish House Mafia made a major comeback after a 6-year hiatus in 2018. Since then the tri consisting of Axwell, Sebastian Ingrosso, and Steve Angello has been under the microscope for what’s next. With the highest of expectations upon them, the trio set out on a tour earlier this year.

Among the tour dates announced, was one of the largest Music Festivals in the UK, Creamfields. With a boast-worthy lineup on EDM acts in addition to the SHM, deadmau5 will be debuting his cube v3 in the UK for the very first time at the festival and Calvin Harris who doesn’t grace many a festival lineups will also be headlining Saturday.

Only adding to the already massive hype around the festival, Creamfields took to their social media to announce that Swedish House Mafia’s set will be special for a number of reasons. Firstly, they will be taking over the entire Arc stage for all of Sunday as their production setup is supposedly so mammoth it will take an entire day to have it up and running. They will hence be the only act taking to that stage on Sunday and will play an “exclusive and extended set” from 9:15 pm local time, to close.

One of the largest demands from fans of SHM has been the release of new music. While they have thrown in a fair share of ID’s during their recent sets, there have been no official releases yet. From a hyped A$AP Rocky collaboration ( link -https://themusicessentials.com/music/ultra-europe-2019-swedish-house-mafia-drop-unreleased-aap-rocky-collaboration/ )which they dropped at Ultra Europe to “It Gets Better” which the trio have been opening their sets with off late which had mysteriously appeared on Shazam, (link – https://themusicessentials.com/music/unreleased-swedish-house-mafia-id-surfaces-on-shazam-teasing-its-inevitable-release/ ) the trio seem to have a heap of new music under their belts, but it remains to be seen when these tracks will see an official release.

With the officials from Creamfields touting this as the trio’s “biggest show yet” with which they are set to “make history” this weekend, we can only imagine this set will be something spectacular and worth looking forward to. While already presenting some pretty spectacular levels of production on their previous stops during this tour, such as the stunning spectacle they presented in Ibiza where they returned after 7 years, we can only imagine what kind of a set up they are going to present for this special set which will take a whole 24-hours to bring to life.

Another question that has been constantly posed to the trio is when they will head to the United States with their tour, with no firm answers on hand just yet, Axwell may just have hinted at it happening in the near future on a social media reply to a fan as reported by Your EDM earlier today.
