In the midst of their hiatus, The Chainsmokers seem to have a whole lot of new music in the works.
In addition to their new album which the duo recently mentioned is well in the works and being recorded, today we found out that the duo is scoring their first-ever film.
In a tweet from the official handle for the movie, ‘Words On The Bathroom Walls’, they revealed the movie will feature original music by the multi-talented duo.

While this may be the first film the duo are set to officially score, they aren’t strangers to the world of film. In 2018, Mickey Rapkin who was behind the famous ‘Pitch Perfect’ approached the duo with the idea of making their hit single “Paris” into a feature film. This lead to them starting their own studio called Kick The Habit Productions. The film was set to be produced under this very studio.
While looking back at Episode 26 of The Chainsmokers In The Studio youtube videos, they speak about scoring a feature film. That very feature film now has a name and release date. ‘Words On Bathroom Walls’ is set to release this summer on July 31 and stars Charlie Plummer, AnnaSophia Robb, Taylor Russell, Andy Garcia, Walton Goggins, and more. The trailer that is now out, features “Push My Luck” off their most recent album, World War Joy.
After going on their self-imposed hiatus earlier this year to work on their new album, the duo will be playing their first live gig in The Hamptons later this month.
