Today, SMITE and electronic music’s leading independent record label Monstercat have revealed their next collaboration featuring beloved bass producer Tokyo Machine who will become playable as a God skin for Asgard’s enfant terrible Loki.

Along with his moto-inspired look highlighting Tokyo Machine’s signature 8-bit beats and personality, this skin will feature unique sound effects throughout the gameplay experience. His otherworldly tune “GALACTICAL” has been used in order to create new ability sounds with cosmic synths, punchy bass drops, and more.

Even better, Tokyo Machine himself has dubbed his own SMITE character and is now sharing his excitement:

“Voice acting has always been a bucket list item for me, and what better way to kick off my soon-to-be extremely successful voice acting career than being an actual character in SMITE! Loki was my first choice not only because his name basically sounds like “Toki” but also other reasons which I’ll come up with one day I’m sure. On the real though, the team did an amazing job implementing the Tokyo Machine lore into the game, and I can’t wait to lose every game as Toki Loki.”

Tokyo Machine Loki will be out for purchase in-game next week along with the latest major game update. Players can unlock him in a chest with equal drop chances, alongside other elements including a new cosmetic bundle with an Avatar, a Jump Stamp, and a Loading Screen showcasing the artist’s universe. This same chest will also contain all the previous Monstercat skins including Slushii Hades, Sullivan King Gilgamesh, Koven Chang’e, and Crab Rave Khepri.

This marks the continuation of a successful collaboration between Monstercat and SMITE that launched last year with the Monstercat Battle Pass. Full details can be found on the Update Notes here.
