Ultra Music Festival has been on quite the rollercoaster ride the past couple of years when it comes to their main Miami edition.
After 20 long years, Ultra was forced to move to a new venue for their 2019 edition and they soon figured that wasn’t going to work out as a solution. After just one outing at the Virgine Key beach, the festival itself decided to voluntarily terminate the license and look for a new venue.
In what is in hindsight now looking like a power move on Ultra’s part, the festival announced they would be looking for venues outside of Miami for the 2020 edition. This led to a wake-up call and after much deliberation and back-and-forth, the City of Miami voted in favor of bringing Ultra back to its Bayfront Park home.
Ultra had earlier in April 2019 right after this years edition, announced their dates for 2020 in line with their usual last weekend of March trend. Things have changed since then and now that the festival has some more certainty with a venue in place, they have announced revised dates and the first round of ticketing information. The festival will now be held at Bayfront Park one weekend prior to what was initially announced from March 20 – 22, 2020.
