Asia’s Largest Festival at Sea, IT’S THE SHIP is giving back to the ship community by hosting the third edition of Deck Selecta.
IT’S THE SHIP invites novice turntablists and mix maestros to put their mixing talents to the test in this annual competition and stand to win the opportunity to perform alongside world-class DJs.
Open to all DJs from every corner of the globe, Deck Selecta stays true to IT’S THE SHIP commitment in encouraging people to step out of their comfort zone, challenging participants to be as creative as possible and to explore their musical boundaries in their mixtape submission. IT’S THE SHIP will shortlist the top 3 DJs and these DJs will have their mixtapes available on IT’S THE SHIP website for the public to vote.
The top voted DJ will be the one lucky winner to partake in this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to showcase their creativity and technical skills alongside IT’S THE SHIP’s world-class DJs. The top voted DJ will also get to experience the all-inclusive voyage (yes, round trip airline flight tickets to Singapore are also included!) onboard IT’S THE SHIP Singapore from the 13th – 15th November this year.
Known for its stellar musical and entertainment lineups, IT’S THE SHIP Singapore 2019 will take the Deck Selecta winner along with shipmates from all over the world on a thrilling, uninterrupted 3D2N shipcation onboard the award-winning Genting Dream.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE?
- Upload one (1) original track and one (1) 45-minute mix (including 2 original tracks and an accurate setlist) to either SoundCloud or Mixcloud
- The setlist should be titled “Deck Selecta – (Your Name)”
- Head over to IT’S THE SHIP website (www.itstheship.com) and hit the Deck Selecta contest tab and proceed to fill in the submission form provided
- Submit your form and be one step closer to spin for Asia’s Largest Festival at Sea!
- Submissions for Deck Selecta are open starting today, 4th of July (00:00HRS GMT+8) to the 18th of July (11:59HRS GMT+8) for all DJs aged 18 and above.
