Wired Music Week (WMW) is almost here and organizers have added the finishing touches to the program which includes the addition of several prolific speakers, dynamic panel topics, multiple masterclasses, a launch party, after parties and a contest that will send one budding musician to Amsterdam.
Wired Music Week came to fruition earlier this year as a way to bolster a growing music scene by using the universal language of music to connect, communicate, educate and inform the artists, promoters, agents and fans that are growing it. Organizers have chosen the bustling capital city of Kuala Lumpur to play host to the inaugural edition and hope to shine the spotlight onto the region by creating a one-stop hub for music enthusiasts of various levels to learn, network, develop and advance, not only as individuals but as a community as well.
Wired Music Week will commence on Friday May 11th with a launch party and the conference itself will run from Saturday May 12th through Sunday May 13th at Tamarind Square in the silicon city of Cyberjaya, just 30 minutes from Kuala Lumpur’s center. Through curated seminars, workshops, panel discussions, demo listening sessions, master classes and even club nights, aspiring artists can immerse and engage with industry leads for immediate feedback.
With the intention of acting as a platform and incubation space for the healthy growth and development of the music industry on an international scale, Wired Music Week will link together some of the brightest minds in the music industry to encourage creativity and innovation within the music industry. The line-up of consists of range of event promoters, record label heads, venue representatives, artists, talent and industry delegates from local, regional and international communities spanning Germany, Australia, The Netherlands, the UK, Taiwan, Philippines, Japan, Sweden, Malaysia and Thailand.
Further sponsors have joined the event to add their influence and touch to the event. Socar has come on board as the official car sharing partner, hotel partnership has been established with Tribeca, FlyFM as the official radio station, nighclub kyo KL from the Mandarin Oriental, Chaze Whiskey Luxe Lounge will host the launch party, Mile High Sounds, Goldsounds Music Academy, Hiphop the Blockchain, Ittify and V-Moda who will all join previously announced sponsors like Monster Energy, VocalKitchen, MyCreative Ventures, who provides funding facilities to Malaysia’s creative communities, DJCity, who will offer a trial 30-days account to DJCity Record Pool that will require sign-up on site, Splice, who are still offering 30-days of free access for ticket holders that will grant them access to Splice Sound and have also partnered with Revealed Recordings on a remix contest, and finally Jupiter, who acts as an artist and music incubator that focuses on Asia electronic music artists.

Together with DJ Irwan, one of Europe’s most revered open format DJs, one artist will win an all-expenses paid trip to showcase their talent at the Amsterdam Dance Event, or better known as ADE, this October. The event brings together the world’s most famous DJs, producers, manager, agents and industry heavyweights alongside an enormous list of rising stars. See the contest terms below:
