Allen Wish is an artist who creates melodic and emotive EDM songs.
With a love for progressive and electro house, Allen is inspired by the likes of David Guetta, Axwell, and Nicky Romero. His passion for music began at an early stage after learning to play the piano at the age of 10. We caught up with Allen to find out more about him.
T.H.E – Tell us a bit about your musical background?
Allen Wish – I like to listen to a bit of everything to see what’s going on and get some inspiration but I used to listen mostly Rock.
T.H.E – How would you describe yourself as an artist?
Allen Wish – Integral and I’m also not tied down or limited to a certain genre, in fact, I try to reinvent myself often.
T.H.E – Sum up your music in a sentence?
Allen Wish – Power of will.
T.H.E – What made you fall in love with dance music?
Allen Wish – It is a long story, but I’ll make it short, when I was in Afghanistan, the music was what kept me fighting and wanting to be alive, music saved my life.
T.H.E – What is your greatest achievement to date?
Allen Wish – Seeing artists that I admire playing my music in the most influential festivals in the world.
T.H.E – Who are your idols?
Allen Wish – They definitely have to be people like Axwell, David Guetta, Steve Angello, Alesso.
T.H.E – What would you be doing if you didn’t discover music?
Allen Wish – Being a helicopter pilot.
T.H.E – What are the main goals you want to achieve this year?
Allen Wish – I want to spread my music as much as I can, it saved my life, so you never know, Your music might save a life or give hope back to someone, that’s my main goal.
T.H.E – All time favourite dance track and why?
Allen Wish – Midnight City of M83, I love the melody and the overall sound of the track.
T.H.E – Tell us an interesting fact about yourself
Allen Wish – I used to be a helicopter pilot and because of that, I fought in Afghanistan.
T.H.E – Who would you love to collaborate with?
Allen Wish – I would love to collaborate with producers such as Camelphat, Alesso, David Guetta, Axwell.
T.H.E – Have you got a dream label you’d like to release on?
Allen Wish – Yes, I’ll love to release music on Defected; I admire their passion and what they transmit in their tracks and their branding.
T.H.E – What’s the best concert or event you have ever been to?
Allen Wish – I actually opened the show for Nicky Romero that was pretty epic.
T.H.E – What do you do to help you gain inspiration?
Allen Wish – Run, dance, I like to live my life to able to put those experiences in music.
