In a world where we were yearning to find reasons to celebrate, A State of Trance (ASOT) hit an epic milestone of 1000 episodes on January 21, 2021.

Due to the global pandemic peaking around that time, the celebratory weekend was set to take place on the weekend of September 3-4, 2021 in the Netherlands.

However, the Dutch government has now extended its strict measures against events due to Covid-19 through at least mid-September, and this has forced Armin Van Buuren and his teams to push the event out to February 2022.

Armin took to social media to make the announcement just weeks before the scheduled event about the postponement and shared how this was merely a postponement and not a cancellation “because a milestone like this can’t go uncelebrated.”

While current government permission allows for events of 750 people or less to be hosted, the sold-out ASOT 1000 event is expected to garner fans from 100 different countries and to a magnitude of around 55,000 for the completely sold-out event.

Detailed FAQs for the existing ticketholders are available here. However, they made it very clear that fans who are unable to attend on the rescheduled dates will be able to apply for refunds starting August 16.

In the meantime, there is something to look forward to and the Trance Family can mark their calendars for February 18-19, 2022 in Jaabeurs, Utrecht.
