klipr interview

Klipr is an up-and-coming electronic house and electro artist based out of New Delhi, India.

Inspired by the international electronic music scene, he isn’t afraid to use his knowledge of these styles to transcend genres and create music that is truly unique. As Klipr continues to develop and mature as an artist, he continues to show signs of becoming one of the most promising new acts in the near future.

T.H.E – Tell us a bit about the story behind ‘Running Back’.

Klipr – I wanted to create something different and more melodic for a change. The idea was to experiment with my vibe. I had laid a foundation for a track with melodies and chord progressions. During a brainstorming session with my team, we came up with the lyrics and started developing it as a song. And from there it took me very less time to deliver this as the song it is today.

T.H.E – How does this release compare to some of your other productions?

Klipr – ‘Running Back’ is very different from the music I’ve released before. This track carries a more melodic and relatable vibe as compared to my other productions, which usually have a lot of energy and groove.

T.H.E – What’s the dance music scene in Delhi?

Klipr – The dance music scene has evolved a lot in Delhi. It has more of an underground sound rather than the mainstream festival vibe. Techno and Deep House are very much preferred. Of late a lot of people seem to fancy Hip Hop as well.

T.H.E – What’s your favorite part of ‘Running Back’?

Klipr – My favorite part of ‘Running Back’ is the breakdown. The lyrics and the combination of breakdown and melody stand out a lot.

T.H.E – Tell us more about ‘SMG’.

Klipr – I started ‘Streamin’ Music Group’ as a label for all genres of dance music. Its aim is to give me and other artists on the label, a chance & the freedom to experiment more rather than just following the scene.

T.H.E – How has the initial reaction to the song been?

Klipr – The initial reaction to the song has been pretty good. The audience seems to like it!

T.H.E – Talk us through your creative process.

Klipr – The idea behind this track was to make something different from my other tracks. I wanted to incorporate that classic future bass sound into the track. The melody, chord progression, and the sound design were created keeping this in mind.

T.H.E – Finally what can we expect from you in the coming months?

Klipr – The coming months are going to be pretty exciting as I’m going to flip the script completely after a couple of releases. My alias ‘BlareMob’ with my close friend has great tracks lined up. Expect the unexpected, is what I’d like to say!
