Bass aficionado Pixel Terror returns to Monstercat Uncaged today, uniting with melodic riddim maestro Ace Aura for their debut collaboration, “Arcadia.”

“Arcadia” is a sonic fusion of both artists’ distinct melody-driven styles, with a realm of retro-gaming themes, chiptune elements, and timeless vocal chops setting the groundwork. Pixel Terror’s signature fierce digital bass synths lead the record with a nostalgic opening, while Ace Aura’s melodic riddim and colour bass layers power the drops that level up with heavier bass as the track unfolds.

Both artists have firmly cemented themselves as Monstercat community favourites over the years. Pixel Terror has been a part of mutiple Monstercat ‘Best Of’ Compilations, including “Sleepless” with Chime and Terminate being voted at #1 in 2021. Ace Aura’s “UMBRA (feat. Voicians),” was the second most-voted song on Monstercat’s ‘Best of 2022,’ and he recently made his anticipated return on the label with the debut collaboration “I’ll Be Waiting” alongside NAZAAR and Dani King.

Pixel Terror shares, “The sounds of Ace Aura and Pixel Terror go together like Sonic and Knuckles. With “Arcadia” being one of our most requested collabs, it was only a matter of time before we joined forces, and soon the highly-anticipated arcade anthem was spawned. This won’t be the last of its kind from me, but will certainly hold the crowd over while I venture into newer, more unknown territory.”

Ace Aura adds, “I had been a big fan of Pixel Terror’s style and actually opened for them for my first ever DJ gig! I sent them a retro video game-inspired track idea a couple years later that I thought they’d fit well on, and that became ‘Arcadia!’”

Prior to embarking as a solo project in 2022, Pixel Terror has graced the stages with their energetic arcade-inspired sounds at EDC, Lost Lands, Nocturnal Wonderland, and others. Now, Pixel Terror is on a journey circling back to his punk rock and metal roots, and recently wrapped up his US spring tour..

This year, melodic riddim commander Ace Aura embarked on his debut headline tour, ‘Crystal Coalition,’ and announced festival performances including his 3rd return to Lost Lands, Electric Zoo, Toxic Summer, Foam Wonderland, and others. He’s found fans in electronic heavyweights such as Zeds Dead, Zomboy, and Subtronics, who he shares a collab with. Fans can catch “Arcadia” live on Ace’s tour including stops at The Church Nightclub in Denver, and as he opens for Crankdat at Webster Hall in New York.
