Sophie Francis is kicking off her 2018 with a downtempo fusion of tropical and progressive house that will warm the hearts of all her fans and fresh-eared listeners.
Her beautifully rich and emotional top line glides over passionate guitar and piano-based breakdowns. The vocals build with tight, rolling percussion into an uplifting chorus of lush, euphoric instrumentation, encompassing a clean, punchy drum beat.
Sophie commenced her previous year with a new deal, signing with Spinnin’ Records in late January of 2017. Her first single, ‘Without You’, dropped in February alongside a quirky and original music video. Sophie then followed up in May with a gritty vocal performance for ‘Lovedrunk’, garnering praise as a vocalist of Janis Joplin’s quality. Sophie is clearly Spinnin’s number one female priority, including her on their stage at Tomorrowland (Belgium) where her global fan base gathered to revel at her nirvana-reaching live performances.
After her huge debut US performance at Ultra Miami, thousands of new fans took to social media to declare her set as one of the best performances of the weekend. Sophie was officially named by Billboard Magazine as one of UMF2017’s Top 4 Female Performers. Sophie successfully cemented her new status as a festival headliner.
