This month we’ve selected an emerging talent as our Artist of The Month, an artist who has time and again shown how talented he is – be it his original productions or his remixes and bootlegs. Spinnin Records recently released his remix for one of last year’s biggest tracks – Nervo ,MAKJ and R3hab’s massive collaboration ‘Revolution’ and his most recent work was his bootleg for Hook N Sling’s hugely successful ‘Tokyo By Night’. Yes we’ve chosen super talented Canadian producer Moiez as our “Artist Of The Month” for July.
He’s been around for a while now, remixing some of the biggest tracks and adding his melodic touch to them. One track of his that really stands out is his remix for Rihanna’s “Stay”. It’s a phenomenal remix, with Rihanna’s fabulous vocals perfectly complementing the progressive drop that stays with you much after you’ve heard it.
He did also remix Hardwell’s “Apollo”, taking it into a different direction than the original track and going as high as number 3 on the Hype Machine charts. Another interesting remix of his was of “This Is What It Feels Like”. The original itself is a beautiful track and you’d want to hear the remix over and over again as well.
Initially producing as part of the duo, “The SoundCrate”, Moiez won a remix contest that led to his remixes of “Burning Bridges” and “4-3-2-1” by K-OS being featured on their Canadian Top 10 album, “Yes”. He then started his solo production career, seeing unprecedented success on his original track, “You Only Live Once” which broke into the Hype Machine Top 20.
Some other well received tracks of his were his remixes of “Clarity” by Zedd, which went on to become one of the most popular remixes of the track and his remix of “Young and Beautiful” by Lana Del Rey. He recently released a new original track, “What I Need This Time” which featured some beautiful vocals and two well structured drops. His latest work is a bootleg of “Tokyo By Night”, a track that received remix treatment from Axwell earlier, making it one of the most talked about tracks of 2014.
His tracks are pleasant to the ears and his understanding of music is evident from his tracks. Here’s wishing Moiez a very successful future.
