If there’s one thing we learnt from Martin Garrix’s Ultra set is that the young producer has been working hard on a lot of new tracks.
Starting off with a collab with Tiesto, titled ‘The Only Way Is Up’, Garrix performed a lot of new tracks including his latest single ‘Don’t Look Down’ with Usher LIVE on the Main-Stage.
Among his set were two very noticeable tracks.
First off a collaboration with Swedish DJ Avicii & vocalist John Legend titled ‘Waiting For Love’.
The collaboration definitely has an Avicii flare, featuring powerful male vocals on a simplistic yet catchy beat. While the collaboration is a more toned down sound than what we usually see from Martin Garrix, it has a certain radio-friendly vibe that is sure to receive play time this festival season.
Second, an unreleased track with Ed Sheeran titled ‘Rewind Repeat It’.
The collaboration was teased last summer when Garrix revealed he was working on a track with Ed Sheeran. The much-awaited track was finally premiered to the world on the grand Ultra stage.
