At first glance, Mat Zo and Kill the Noise may seem like an odd pairing. While Zo initially came to fruition via stellar trance/progressive house productions on Anjunabeats, Kill the Noise made his namesake through rip-roaring bass tunes. When one considers both Matan Zohar and Jake Stanczack’s past lives as drum ‘n’ bass producers, however, the collaboration starts to make sense. Quite fittingly, the duo’s first tune as Kill the Zo is some heavy neuro dnb.
“Part 1″ pits two of the best sound designers in the business together, incorporating Zo’s otherworldly atmospherics with Kill the Noise’s terrifying reese basses. With plenty of gorgeous rock-inspired breakdowns to contrast the darker breaks sections, the tune is a wonderful exposition of Kill the Zo’s potential. Check it out below!
