Boston based duo Nu.F.O have been on a firestorm entering the new year.
With just wrapping up their east coast iExperia tour, touching down in Boston, New Jersey, New Hampshire and Philadelphia, along with the release of their debut studio album,”Still Amazed” the singing duo are have taken no time off and are back with their latest post-album single,”Rise Up” as a free-download.
This studio effort is a song born out of the era of Occupy Wall Street, Black Lives Matter, the struggle for democracy in Hong Kong, the Arab Spring and untold movements that represent our collective struggle to take our power back across the globe. When asked what was the inspiration behind the track, Nu.F.O quoted “Humanity is going through an era of unrest and discord, a time of unprecedented awareness of our connection as a society and of what we can accomplish if we come together and push back against the status quo.”
The real highlight of this track is it’s message because instead of singing about getting faded or partying, they’re stirring the discourse of the youth to rise up and stand up for what they believe in. Honestly, the scene probably needs more of that because what we feel at these shows in terms of unity and peace should be something we spread to every facet of our lives. Especially in times like these.
