DJs Quintino & Sandro Silva return for another collab with brand new single ‘Aftermath’.
It’s been an amazing ride for DJs Quintino & Sandro Silva these last four years. The Dutch duo saw themselves catapulted to international stardom after the release of ‘Epic’ in 2011, a legendary track that shaped the electro mainstage sound like no other at the moment. Now the boys are back with an official follow-up to that classic tune: ‘Aftermath’.
First, a brief recap of the ‘Epic’ story. Because what happened in 2011 was quite the accomplishment. Two DJs still working the underground, building a track that sounded new and innovative, simple though creative. After Tiësto premiered it during his set at EDC Las Vegas that year, it took the world by storm, meanwhile influencing DJs and producers to start building similar music. Since then, electro music hasn’t been the same; the impact of ‘Epic’ caused a rollercoaster of huge, mainstage anthems.
“Back then, ‘Epic’ was played by almost everybody in the scene. It was the best moment of my career to see the emotion when that beat dropped!”, Quintino reminisces. “And now, after four years, we are back and more happier than ever. Me and Sandro created a track that we hope will create even more moments and impacts that people will never forget. That is what we live for, that is what we work for!”
Sandro Silva agrees: “I’m really happy that me and Quintino made the follow-up for ‘Epic’. Back then, it was the beginning of a new era for dance music and I hope we can inspire a lot of people again with ‘Aftermath’. It was a joy working with Quintino again. We finished the track in a couple of weeks and the most important goal for us was to get that impact, when the drop comes. I believe we succeeded with that.”
Going by feedback, ‘Aftermath’ is already a worthy successor. The track has gotten support by a wide range of artists, going from Hardwell, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Martin Garrix, W&W and Showtek to Laidback Luke, Sander van Doorn, Ummet Ozcan and R3hab.
And the list of feedback keeps on growing. The ‘epic duo’ is back, that’s for sure, Quintino & Sandro Silva have unleashed another storm.
