Giuseppe Ottaviani’s highly anticipated follow-up is here and primed to colour your mind ‘Magenta’. Carrying studio team-ups with fellow trance geniuses, Ferry Corsten and Aly & Fila, plus supported by a stellar line of vocalists (Eric Lumiere, Audrey Gallagher, Linnea Schössow, Lo-Fi Sugar and Seri amongst them), the trance kingpin’s ready to wow again. Prepare to embrace all the shades, degrees, tones and meanings of ‘Magenta’. On the concept of his sophomore album, Giuseppe says: “The colour Magenta represents universal love at its highest level. The album’s concept is exactly that. Music intended to promote the very same essence the colour does.”

In ‘Love Will Bring It All Around’ by Giuseppe Ottaviani, Eric Lumiere brings his profound, thought provoking, (not to mention devilishly catchy) vocal touch. In the drop, channeled by Giuseppe’s masterful dark-to-light, piano-paving transition, the tone turns, with Eric delivering a spiritually uplifting chorus that takes the track to boiling point. Quality production from start to finish ensures that “Love Will Bring It All Around” is a future vocal trance classic. Highly recommended for all trance lovers. Love IT!

Giuseppe works with the Italian singer Faith after their collaboration in his previous album for ‘Nothing Wrong’. In this track, he combines dirty chunky progressive trance with uplifting elements to deliver something very unique that characterize Giuseppe’s productions. His climax is very euphoric and perfect to drop in the peak time moments of your sets.

‘Stars’ showcases Giuseppe’s trademark high-octane production engines, one that leaves a floor-impression crater-deep. Swedish starlet Linnea Schössow counterbalances its ferocity with a sky gazing, spellbinding vocal arc that stretches to the heavens. It is a shinning glowing progressive trance track with pumping beats, electro infused basslines and dark, sinister melodies.

With ‘Rush’ Giuseppe radiates a more trance-progressive ethic. Locked around thunderous drums, tight, stripped-back percussion loops and mood-fuelling atmospherics, it paves the way for Lo-Fi Sugar’s amazing vocals.

‘Walk This World With Me’ is a powerful pure vocal trance track with all the well known elements that cut above the rest with the sweet and beloved Audrey who crawls under your skin with her mesmerizing voice.

Ottaviani demonstrates that vocal lightning can strike twice as he re-teams with two of his ‘GO!’ album alumni. Stephen Pickup’s vocal on ‘Illusion’ fleetingly splices a rock-ish gene into the Magenta album. He exemplifies once again why he is considered to be one of the finest singers who always manages to deliver. The climax is very euphoric with the distorted rave style synth leads.

For ‘Feel The Music’, Guiseppe uses a resonating Roland 303 churn to progressively shape the track’s slower-burning tension accompanied by a tense, smart structure of creative sub-riffs and acid peaks. Feeding it straight into its climactic hard-trancing leadline, ‘Feel The Music’ will direct maximum pressure to your dancefloor.

‘Cold Flame’ sucks you into its thrall through fast running percussion lines and rhythmic drums, counterbalanced by its elegant string and piano section. Turning the heat up further, the track aggressively pumps the warp & distort pedals, flash-frying it over the 303’s burn. Finally it lets rip with its strikingly crafted, classically vibrant trance lead riff. The Flame may be Cold, but this track is sub-Saharan hot!

‘Magenta’ sees Ferry Corsten & Giuseppe collectively use symphonic strings and crowd-igniting pitch-bends, artfully interplayed with melodic redolence and air-slicing synths to fashion this infectious future anthem.

“Brilliant People” is a magnificent strong uplifting trance smasher which is straight to the point with driving energetic basslines, pumping banging beats and roof raising synths merged beautiful with a heavenly styled female voice.

‘Waiting On Someday’ is a fantastic vocal burner features exquisite vocals by Vitamin B, solid techy groove, punchy driving basslines, chord progression and emotional piano melodies. It’s one of those tracks where you feel that the music is intertwined with the indie rock vocals that simple go like a treat with dance music.

In ‘Passion’, the talented producer delivers the straight forward uplifting full on hands in the air version that stays faithful to the origins of the uplifting trance and remains within the codes and conventions of what we define as euphoric trance. The breakdown is long and cinematic with luscious mesmerizing melodies, classic G.O synth leads, classical orchestral music strings and inspirational vocals.

‘Liverpool’ is a massive uplifting trance track of the highest quality with powerful beats and multiple soul moving melodic layers that create a colourful sound scape which is a great pleasure to listen to.

Giuseppe Ottaviani’s ‘In This Together’ stays faithful to the uplifting trance dogma. It is banging, uplifting, euphoric but with a sweet melody that is accompanied with Alana Aldea incredible vocals.

Giuseppe Ottaviani has delivered the pitch-perfect album – a consummate long-player whose panoramic studio-ware will draw you in… and keep you there for the duration. Not simply EDM, moreover immersive, surround-sound 3DM, this summer’s colour… is ‘Magenta’. Every track in “Magenta” reflects the colour of the free spirit. It pushes you to take responsibility for creating your own path in life.
