Porter Robinson’s much talked about new album ‘Worlds’ is finally out, and it definitely lives up to the hype that surrounded it. It’s good, really really good.

“Sea of Voices” was released as a single from the album and it caught everyone’s attention when it came out. Its a magical tune that you will get instantly lost in, and the world will seem like a better place for those five minutes. It’s very very different from most tunes and the vocals are placed perfectly in the song to keep your interest in the track alive.

Lionhearted is definitely the standout tune of the album. It has an infectious melody and well written words. It also has a sublime drop that will make you fall in love with this track the first time you hear it. It probably won’t make it to a lot of festival sets but is guaranteed to get loads of radio play.

“Hear The Bells” is a wonderful chill track that’s perfect when you’re in the mood to unwind. It also has some great vocals that blend in smoothly with Porter’s melody too create a gem of a track.

“Sad Machine” was the other single that Porter released before the album, and what an amazing track has he made! The tempo, the melody, the vocals, all are just perfect. This song really sets the standard for the rest of the album. It’s an outstanding effort.

“Fresh Static Snow” is a funky track that kicks off with some mean bass, and carries on to some meaner bass before a nice melody takes over. It also features some stylishly incorporated vocals and on the whole is a very well produced track, just a tad different from a lot of the other tracks on the album.

“Polygon Dust” is another very chill track with pleasant vocals and groovy bass. It’s a good track and features some unique beats that make it nice to hear.

“Natural Light” is a track that very few producers would have dared to try and Porter has pulled it off magnificently. It’s a track that you’d expect on the top of the charts in 2020. Great effort from Porter.

“Fellow Feeling” is a track that is absolutely murdered by Porter. Its really hard to believe that one producer has made this track as well as something like Language. It features absolutely deadly beats and you will definitely want to hear it over and over again.

“Years of War” is one of the only tunes that doesn’t change directions drastically, and ends on the same note as it started off. Its produced very nicely with comforting vocals and a very good drop.

“Divinity” is a truly peaceful track that’ll transport you to an entirely different place while you’re listening to it. It’s got a really nice drop as well and makes for a good repeat track once you’ve heard it.

“Goodbye to a World” is the perfect ending to the album with Porter covering a variety of styles in this fusion track.

There aren’t a lot of albums that make you go “Woah” but this one certainly does. By far the best effort by a producer this year.

Grab it on iTunes.
