We managed to catch up with Tomas and do what we do best, get some more insights into the world of this talented DJ/Producer! The interview covers a range of topics like what it means to have support of living legends like Armin van Buuren, his biggest musical accomplishment so far and plenty more! Check out what Tomas had to say. :)

T.H.E – Hey Tomas, thank you for giving us this opportunity, how are you doing? Where are you
reading this interview?

Tomas Heredia – Right now I’m at the studio working on a new remix for Coldharbour Recordings. Thanks for
inviting me.

T.H.E – We have a lot of things to discuss. But the main thing is recent release on Re*brand
Records, “Way Out”! How has the response been so far?

Tomas Heredia – People liked it even when it wasn’t released! It was premiered on Max Graham’s radioshow and
also on my very own Gravity Radio. The response of the crowd has been absolutely nice.

T.H.E – How did it feel to get support from legends like Armin van Buuren so early in your career?
Does it bother you that you have massive expectations to live up to now that you’ve seen
success at such a young age?

Tomas Heredia – Actually it feels pretty good! Being young is the best thing it could happen to me, because I have
a longer time to learn, grow and keep running to the top of my career with no rush.

T.H.E – How about your influences outside of electronic music?

Tomas Heredia – Well, I could name you a few artists that really feel as an inspiration to learn and make music: Hans Zimmer, John Mayer, Pink Floyd, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Piotr Ilich Chaikovski. I always take
references from these guys. They are/were all amazing musicians!

T.H.E – These days, the focus for a lot of producers is to make a track that would ensure a top
Beatport position, rather than staying true to their sounds and making what their fans like.
What are your views on it? Is it the pressure coming from the industry that ends up forcing
producers to go out of their way to please the masses?

Tomas Heredia – My point of view is that you (as an artist) have to make what you like the most no matter if it sounds “commercial” or “underground”. For me “commercial” is everything it’s sell on a market whether you
sell music for masses or not and it’s really important to not doing the same stuff always, ‘cause you
might get people boring at some point.

T.H.E – What should be your biggest musical accomplishment when you look back in the past till
now?

Tomas Heredia – Playing in Japan definitely! I could never imagine I would be able to flight with my music to Japan. Definitely a one will stick on my mind forever!

T.H.E – What do you enjoy the most, DJing or Producing?

Tomas Heredia – That’s hard to decide! I really enjoy being at the studio messing around with the piano and creating some good vibes in there but I also love to see everyone’s smiling when I’m DJing. Maybe a 50/50
haha!

T.H.E – We are reaching towards the end of our interview, any message for your fans in India? Is a
visit to India on your schedule?

Tomas Heredia – Unfortunately India is not on the schedule yet, but it’s in plans! I’m really looking forward to visit one of the most mystic’s places in the world.

T.H.E – What can we expect from Tomas Heredia in 2014-15?

Tomas Heredia – My first vocal tracks + a bunch of huge collaborations that I’m currently working on and the
‘Darksiders’ concept I’m running with the one and only Chris Schweizer! Stay tuned!

Thank you Tomas for taking the time out to do an interview with us! We really loved your answers and wish you the very best in all your future endeavours!
