Indecent Noise is a producer and engineer hailing from Warsaw in Poland. His sound is completely rapt in energetic and melodic trance sounds which can often use techier sounds to deliver devastating impact.

Summer of 2012 saw the birth of his record label, “Mental Asylum Records”, showcasing the best in up-tempo, uplifting, trance and tech trance. The label not only features original and remix works from Indecent Noise himself but also his favourite crop of producers.

With the label reaching its first milestone of 50 releases in early 2015, three compilation albums successfully launched and a selection of sell out, one off, global events they are about to embark on one of their biggest projects to date. Alongside his management company, “Audio Religion Music”, Indecent Noise is launching a new global tour concept for the label and in a word it is going to be MENTAL.

“May Goes Mental”
will be a month long celebration of the label and the artists who have featured on it. Spanning across the globe it will encompass 5 weekends of label parties in ten different cities across three continents. Kicking of the concepts launch in 2015 are Asia, Australia and North America. Before a lot of you ask why not Europe given its the labels home continent, the label are keen to stress that their is a specific reason and even planned for Europe for later in the year of which details will be coming soon.

We had the opportunity to speak to Aleksander about the entire “May Goes Mental” concept, the preparations that went into it and what fans can expect from it. Here’s what he had to say. :)

T.H.E – Hi Aleksander, firstly congratulations on the launch of this new global tour concept, “May Goes Mental”. How are the preparations coming along?

Indecent Noise – Thanks guys. Plans have come on good. We had a few delays on a few minor things but that’s expected sometimes when you launch something brand new, we will be fully prepared for following years now but I’m really happy with the final result for this year’s tour. All events and cities were received well and we have some brilliant venues and I can’t wait to get started in a few weeks.

T.H.E – Tell us a bit about how the concept of “Mental Asylum Records pres. May Goes Mental 2015” came about.

Indecent Noise – It happened almost without a lot of prior planning to be honest. My management, “Audio Religion” and I were looking into ideas for locations for future MA events and where we could schedule them in between current tours and studio time. We felt we wanted to do something different than the usual 50 or 100 Radio episode celebration and as we had a few requests for May for Mental Asylum events already the concept, “May Goes Mental” was born. The idea will be that throughout this month we will only do MA club shows and they will be the only MA club shows for that entire year. Yes we will still do special one off events in different parts of the year but nothing club orientated. For example in 2015 we are hosting a stage at United Festival in London in September, we have an arena on the Goodgreef Cruise weekender between the UK and Holland in November and we’re also talking about one or two other special events. Maybe something for the label birthday in July.

T.H.E – You will be covering 10 cities in the space of one month across 3 continents. We would love to know the thinking behind selecting the cities.

Indecent Noise – Well sadly this has dropped to 9 cities as one in Canada we had venue issues but 9 is still a pretty solid amount. The first piece of the puzzle was Australia. We had already been approached at ADE Conference last October about the possibility of a label tour to Australia so we worked to secure that first and the selection of the cities we left to our tour partners, “Genesis”, as we felt they would know the best locations for us. Once Australia was locked in it made perfect sense to stop in Asia on the way to Australia or on the way home. So we contacted various promoters and from those that were interested we selected what we felt were the two best options. I had a lot of fun on my last trip to Singapore so I was really interested in going back and taking the label while Bangkok and Thailand is a brand new location for me. I love visiting new cities and countries and the guys behind the gig there are doing a lot to push trance music forward in their country and have a great track record with recent shows. That then left us with two weekends still to fill. We knew we had the big European shows locked in already for September and November as mentioned before so we took the decision to push more for shows on the other continents. We had plenty of offers for different US cities, we actually had a few cities fighting over the same date which gives us plenty of options for 2016 :) . In the end we chose to go to Houston because similar to Bangkok it was a brand new location for me and there has been a lot of requests for me to play in Texas and we chose to go to California as it’s been so kind to me as a solo artist for gigs the last few years.

T.H.E – The artists that will be playing a part in the month long celebration are those who have had releases featured on the label at some point. Any particular reason as to why only those artists have been selected?

Indecent Noise – The main reason is to repay a lot of the guys who have helped get the label to where it is in its first 3 years. Without these guys music, be it originals or remixes, the label wouldn’t be doing what we are. Off course some of the selections will be determined by which artists promoters think will work better in their territory but between the May tour and the other events this year we hope to involve as many artists from the label as possible. As we grow yes we will probably invite special guests whose style suits what we are doing or whose music features on Mental Asylum Radio but maybe not the label but for now the plan is to mostly use as many label artists as we can.

T.H.E – Which cities are you looking forward to the most and why?

Indecent Noise – I’m looking forward to it all, it’s a new concept and anything new is exciting. I’m definitely looking forward to the new cities for me personally but to pick just one of the 9 locations would be too hard.

T.H.E – Tell us one artist who has impressed you the most in 2015.

Indecent Noise – There’s so many. Trance is in a really good place right now with so many good labels and producers coming through that stay away from the mainstream side of trance or trouse if you want to call it. I have been pretty open though on social media that I absolutely LOVE what Alex di Stefano is doing right now and there is rarely a set or radio show of mine that doesn’t feature something from him.

T.H.E – Thanks a ton Aleksander for taking the time out for this interview. We wish you all the very best with “May Goes Mental”and all your future endeavors. :)

Indecent Noise – Thanks guys and hope to see as many of you as possible on the tour.
