T.H.E – Music Encyclopedia managed to catch up with Sneijder to talk about what went into the making of the 20th edition of the legendary “In Trance We Trust” compilation!

T.H.E – How has the reaction to your latest CD been?

Sneijder – Really good, The overall buzz on the CD on Social Media has been great, I’m delighted everyone likes it!

T.H.E – How long did this CD take to make from start to finish, recording-wise?

Sneijder – It took me a few weeks to narrow down my tracklist and then 2 days to mix.. After that I spent 2 days on transitions and made a small intro. Mix wise I would say around 4 days in total.

T.H.E – What kind of ‘sound’, production wise, did you have in the back of your mind, prior to entering the studio?

Sneijder – Always focusing on a similar vibe to my live sets, a blend of uplifting and tech trance. The disk is a perfect reflection on what you would hear from me in a club as a DJ.

T.H.E – How pleased are you with the final outcome? (sound – production wise)

Sneijder – Really happy, I am very fussy with everything I do lol .. So I’m really happy it has turned out exactly how I wanted it too.

T.H.E – Please inform us about your favourite songs from the compilation!

Sneijder – I have a few favorites that I like, I love ‘Isolator’ from Will Atkinson, great blend of tech and uplifting trance. Also my new collab with Bryan Kearney titled ‘Next Level’ is a one I love. I like all the tracks to be honest, they were selected as they each have something I love in a trance track.

T.H.E – Are there any ‘crazy’ behind the scenes anecdotes from these sessions that you can share with us?

Sneijder – Not really, it was a great experience for me overall, one I hope I can do again some day.

T.H.E – How would you describe the sound of your new CD to any potential new fan?

Sneijder – A blend of uplifting and a tech trance aimed for the dancefloor, just how I like my music, nice melodies and fast basslines!

T.H.E – Who are your influences and heroes? (music-wise)

Sneijder – Too many to mention over the years, but the most influential have to be Scott Brown, Pablo Gargano, Ramirez, Ferry Corsten, Nu-Nrg, Tony de Vit, Sasha, Nick Warren, Giuseppe Ottaviani, Paul van Dyk, Aly & Fila and John O’Callaghan .. All of these guys have influenced me and my sound over the last years.

T.H.E – Before we wrap up, would you like to share something about the 20th edition of “In Trance We Trust” which hasn’t been shared yet?

Sneijder – Sure, everyone should go and grab a copy, as it has the perfect blend music wise of Trance imo, from progressive to melodic right through to uplifting, its essential for your collection. :)

T.H.E – Any message for your fans in India?
